A lovely weekend wander took us to the spectacular Wadi Mujib, the unearthly lanscape of which you can see in these pictures. At the lookout, where there was a man in a dismal hut selling odds and ends, we also found this dear little fellow (the puppy, not the goat) in a grim and grimy pen, and the temptation to buy him was almost too strong. Sadly, I resisted.Afterwards, we walked along this beautiful river valley - not sure what, but the day was warm, the water green, the grass dotted with red anemones and picnickers, and a herd of goats came down to drink.
